Time is ticking away. September 10th is on its way hosting the Wines from Spain Annual Tasting: The Rising Stars.
The annual and once off opportunity to taste the largest selection of Wines from Spain in Ireland will take place on the 10th September at the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin 2. Exclusively addressed to trade and press, the event is organized by the Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy.
Over 200 wines from Spain, including many hidden gems, will be on show at The Rising Stars Tasting with the collaboration of 22 Irish importers: Allied Drinks, Ampersand, Approach Trade, Barry & Fitzwilliam Maxxium, Cassidy Wines, Classic Wines, Celtic, Erne Drinks, Febvre, FindlaterGrants, Gilbeys, High Spirits, Irish Distillers, Liberty Wines, Mackenway, Mary Pawle Wines, Smith & Whelan Wines, Spanish Flavour, Straffan Wines, Tubridy Wine Merchants, Vinos Tito and Woodford Bourne. 10 exciting Spanish wineries without distribution in Ireland are travelling to Dublin for the event from DO areas such as Priorato, Ribera del Duero, Yecla or Rueda.

An exciting new feature to the tasting this year is the competition “ Unique Spanish Wines for Christmas Day”. The top 10 Spanish wines will be exclusively selected by all the professionals attending. The participating importers have selected 2 wines each as their perfect match for Christmas Day.
In 2007, the event was hailed as one of the top wine tastings of the year in Dublin, with over 180 visitors from the wine trade and press. This year’s event will give wine enthusiasts, wine trade and media a chance to taste the largest selection of newly released wines from Spain, the new world of the old world.
